4 WEEK BEGINNER SERIES
This four week series will get you started in your yoga adventure! Learn how to increase your flexibility and strengthen your core in an effective and safe manner. Four consecutive classes will build upon each other so you may graduate feeling comfortable attending appropriate yoga classes.
Understand the fundamentals to Vinyasa yoga where poses are strung together to create an experience. Whether you are brand new to yoga and nervous trying it out, or have dabbled a bit and want to heighten your alignment awareness, this series is for you!

CORE STRENGTH & LENGTH
Build core strength with focus on all the abdominal muscles, hips, glutes and back. We will incorporate stretching to relieve muscular tension, improve joint range of motion, reduce muscle soreness and maintain normal functional muscular strength.
SWEAT & REFRESH (BOOTCAMP)
-High Intensity Interval Training comes together in this Bootcamp style workout with a refreshing yoga cool down. A great compliment to our Stretch & Refresh offerings. All fitness levels are welcome!
Bring a mat and tennis shoes. We like to go outside when the weather is nice!
Learn or review the basic postures of the Vinyasa practice. This class includes lots of demonstration and modifications. Great for beginners testing out the practice or those getting back into their practice after time away.
This is our regular flow class – a working knowledge of common postures and sequences is helpful. Expect to move in sync with your breath and build heat in the body. Cues for modification and amplification of postures and sequences will be offered.
SLOW FLOW VINYASA
This flow class is paced slower than our Vinyasa All Levels classes, so that students can move with an increased awareness of their body in space and take time to breathe. The instructor offers modified versions of poses and cues for alignment to practice safely.
This class uses props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support the body and allow for complete muscle relaxation through passive gentle stretches. It's about letting go of life's stressors and refreshing the body systems. Restorative Yoga calms and clears the mind. All levels welcome.
During Yin, we will focus on seated, supine and prone postures held for 3-5 minutes, allowing the muscles time to relax and release so the connective tissue can be worked. Yin is a great balance to more rigorous classes and can improve joint health over time. We suggest consulting with your healthcare provider if you are recovering from recent injuries or surgery or are pregnant.
RUN AND YOGA CLUB-(offered seasonally)
Join us on Wednesday evenings for a 30 minute run or walk around beautiful Old Town. The second half of class you will enjoy a 30 minute post-run stretch and yoga class. The Run and Yoga Club meets for 6 week intervals so watch online and in the announcements for the lastest schedule.
All ability groups are welcome. Please preregister so we don't leave without you! Watch Facebook for the published routes. Every run/walk starts and ends at the studio (110 King St).
Class meets rain or shine! Bring water. Personal items can be left and locked in the studio while you run/walk.
STRETCH & REFRESH
This class focuses on removing tightness in the body caused by our modern lifestyle. With the support of props and the wall, we do both active and restorative stretches to help lengthen leg muscles, open the chest, shoulders, and hips. A great class for runners, people who work at a desk, or those looking to feel refreshed.
A fitness-based approach to Vinyasa style flow. Students will focus on linking conscious breath with a strong and mindful flow. In a power yoga class, students will build strength, flexibility and concentration. You can expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work. Vinyasa/flow yoga experience recommended.
